Set up your Attention Genie
DIY follows the same workflow as your personalized package. Written instructions are available now. Short videos and illustrated walkthroughs are in production.
1. Complete your onboarding
Sign in to your portal with your purchase email. Answer the 15 questions; you can save and return later. Submit once you are ready. Your files are generated automatically after quality checks.
2. Download and open the folder
Open your setup page, download the package and unzip it into a dedicated local folder on your Mac. Keep the files together. Open that folder as a local project in your supported desktop AI experience. An ordinary browser chat is not the same as a local project.
3. Paste your mega prompt
Copy the mega prompt from your portal and paste it into the conversation attached to that folder. Ask it to read the setup files and check your computer before installing anything. Follow the package instructions for the current supported tools.
4. Enable access and run setup
Enable computer use and grant the project and app permissions needed for the workflow. Review what each permission allows. The installer checks for existing tools before installing missing prerequisites; you do not need to deliberately install Node twice. If your shell reports an error, use the supplied command with /bin/bash, not an arbitrary old shell from your PATH.
Ask your Genie to run its setup checks and sample render. Do not treat an “installed” message as proof of a successful video. If a step fails, copy the error into your project conversation and ask it to explain the documented recovery step.
5. Bring in a recording and revise it
Use a local copy of your own footage. For Drive, make sure the full file has downloaded. For Photos, start by exporting selected originals; cloud thumbnails are not source video. Ask for a short edit, review it, and ask for one revision. Preserve your original recording.
6. Connect review and publishing
Follow your package instructions for Frame.io or Drive review. A login alone does not establish every integration. Connect your own publishing accounts if you want that feature, verify the correct brand and profiles, and explicitly approve the final post before publishing.
7. Add phone access
Connect the supported desktop session from your phone using the same account. Test it before relying on it away from home. Keep the host Mac awake and online while allowing the display to sleep. Power recovery, encryption and login can still require someone at the computer; do not disable security just to hide that limitation.
Stuck? Start with your Genie.
You can troubleshoot in the same project conversation. Tell it what you wanted to happen, what happened instead, and the exact error if there is one. Share screenshots with private information removed. It can use your project context and available tools to investigate and help correct many issues.
“I was trying to [task]. I expected [result], but [what happened]. Here is the error: [message]. Inspect this project and diagnose the cause. Explain the smallest fix before making changes, preserve my original files, and test whether it worked.”
Review the proposed changes and grant only the access needed. Ask it to record a successful fix in your project notes so the workflow retains what it learned. Some problems need an account owner, a service provider or different hardware; repeated AI attempts are not a condition of requesting a qualifying refund.
DIY does not include personal setup calls or ongoing human troubleshooting. Read support and first-video refund terms.
